Innovative Retail Execution Solution Automates Root Cause Analysis and Drives Daily Retail Replenishment

Cambridge, MA (September 6, 2006) - Blue Agave Software today announced that Coty Inc. has selected Blue Agave's Retail Channel ExecutionT solution to improve daily replenishment and fulfillment performance for their Wal-Mart channel in the United States, Canada, and Mexico. The software will continuously evaluate Coty's Wal-Mart Retail Link® data in order to consistently predict demand-driven retail issues such as stock-outs, excess inventory, late orders, and forecast variances, pinpointing root cause, and guiding timely resolution.

Blue Agave's Retail Channel Execution is a family of integrated applications that apply business rules to the access and evaluation of retailer-provided point-of-sale data, including Wal-Mart's Retail Link. The software proactively identifies revenue-impacting issues, determines root cause, recommends options to respond, and guides resolution through a workflow based on the organization's best practices. All of this occurs within an intuitive visual environment that, for the first time, gives consumer goods suppliers real-time insight into all aspects of their retail performance down to the store/SKU level on a daily basis.

Enhanced Root Cause Capabilities

The newest release of Blue Agave's application set includes enhanced root cause capabilities that provide users with immediate insight into why retail execution issues are occurring. Following retailers' and suppliers' rules, the software first determines whether an issue has an internal supply chain cause such as a missed must arrive by date (MABD) or low fill rate. If no internal cause is found, the software will then look for store-related demand causes such as incorrect replenishment settings, forecast variances, or on-hand adjustments. With a click of the mouse, the root cause evidence uncovered by Blue Agave is easily attached to communications to the retailer with requests for replenishment adjustments.
